Adaptación de 22 minutos de la galardonada historieta corta de Mike Mignola "El asombroso cabeza de tornillo" (Premio Eisner al mejor cómic de humor, 2003). Dirigida por Chris Prynoski.
El emperador zombie y su reina vampira roban un fragmento de un documento sagrado el cual, si consiguen traducirlo, pueden llegar a conquistar el mundo. Ante semejante amenaza, el presidente de los EEUU Abraham Lincoln avisará rápidamente a su cuanto menos peculiar agente secreto; Cabeza de Tornillo.
Cabe decir que es, bajo mi punto de vista, la mejor adaptación que han hecho de los cómics de Mignola. La historia es prácticamente la misma aunque se han realizado algunos cambios en pro del film. Esta vez sí se es completamente fiel al personalísimo estilo de Mignola en lo que a gráficamente se refiere.
El DVD está cargadito de extras de esos que nos molan, un making off bastante completo, centrandose en la animación, los storys, los fondos y dejando un poco de lado aunque no lo descartan el tema de la sonorización y el doblaje que, teniendo en cuenta que en casi todas las producciones de animación, el making off es 20% realización del film, 80% mirad que famosos son los dobladores, es de agradecer.
También incluye un libreto con unos fantabulosos diseños de personaje de la mano de Guy Davis y del propio Mignola.
Recomendado a los fans de Mike Mignola como el servidor. El único inconveniente es que es Zona 1 aunque incluye subtítulos en castellano.
